Erin Mykleby Bio

April 08, 2017
Over the last decade or so, Erin Mykleby of Bettendorf, Iowa has put together a rather impressive record of useful experience working in many athletic departments all over the country. It is based on that experience that makes her a great fit in her current position as Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement for highly-regarded St. Leo's University. As that school’s athletic department liaison, she also handles promotions for the department.

This was probably the direction she wanted to go all along, ever since Erin Mykleby earned her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Luther College in 2012. While there, she also was a key member of the women's swimming and diving team for the school. She was certainly good, as she was an Honorable Mention Academic All-American in 2011. Following that experience, she also gained considerable experience teaching and coaching sports such as volleyball, basketball and swimming in Antwerp, Belgium.

One thing that can be said about Erin Mykleby is that her experience is diverse. For example, she spent a summer as an intern for Indianapolis-based USA Track & Field in the fields of High Performance and Coaching Education. And in 2013, she coordinated the "ball kids" for two rounds of the NCAA Women's Division I basketball tournament that year.

Prior to her arrival at Saint Leo's, Erin Mykleby also worked with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), where she served as liaison to a number of NACDA affiliate organizations, including the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) and the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA).
