Erin Mykleby Has The Experience to Lead

One reason Erin Mykleby has been successful in her career, in which she has worked in a number of athletics departments at universities nationwide is because she has gathered a relatively high level of education and experience. Erin can currently be found at St. Leo's University, where she serves as the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement. From that position, she engages in a considerable amount of promotion for the Department and the university. In addition, she also serves as a liaison with the community for the athletic department.

She has a lot of experience. Prior to her work with St. Leo's, Erin Mykleby worked with numerous large athletic organizations through her position at the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). Among those organizations included the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) and the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA). Erin’s experience also includes coaching and teaching sports such as swimming, basketball and volleyball in Antwerp, Belgium.

Ever since she was young, Erin Mykleby has always been a sports enthusiast. The process of watching a game unfold can be thrilling. Born in Bettendorf, Iowa, Erin Mykleby participated in sports from a young age and this interest continued into her adult life when she decided to pursue a career in the field of sports. She recently received her Sports Management Master’s degree from the University of Iowa and currently works in college sports which allows Erin Mykleby to be passionate about her job. She currently works at NACDA and brings experience ranging from Division I to the Division III ranks making her an asset to her employer.

Erin MyklebyOne example of Iowa-born Erin Mykleby tremendous accomplishments working in the field of college athletics came in 2013, when she coordinated the "ball kids" for two rounds of the NCAA Women's Division I basketball tournament that year. She also spent time as a summer intern for USA Track & Field in Indianapolis, where she dealt with the areas of High Performance and Coaching Education. However that is a whole lot more.
Erin Mykleby now has an impressive array of athletics experience to draw from as she operates from her current position as Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement for St. Leo's University.

In her position at St. Leo’s, Erin Mykleby serves as the Athletics Department's liaison and handles promotions for the department, as well. Prior to joining St. Leo's, Erin spent time working with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), where she served as liaison to a number of NACDA affiliate organizations, including the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) and the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA).

Erin Mykleby also has considerable education in her background, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Luther College in 2012, and getting a Master’s degree in sports management from the University of Iowa in December 2014. While at Luther College, Erin was a member of the women's swimming and diving team, where she was honored as a Honorable Mention Academic All-American in 2011. She also minored in Communication Studies. At Iowa, Erin Mykleby also served as a graduate intern for the athletic department in event management, where she managed athletic events, championships and other key athletic events.

Over the last decade or so, Erin Mykleby of Bettendorf, Iowa has put together a rather impressive record of useful experience working in many athletic departments all over the country. It is based on that experience that makes her a great fit in her current position as Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement for highly-regarded St. Leo's University. As that school’s athletic department liaison, she also handles promotions for the department.

This was probably the direction she wanted to go all along, ever since Erin Mykleby earned her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Luther College in 2012. While there, she also was a key member of the women's swimming and diving team for the school. She was certainly good, as she was an Honorable Mention Academic All-American in 2011. Following that experience, she also gained considerable experience teaching and coaching sports such as volleyball, basketball and swimming in Antwerp, Belgium.

One thing that can be said about Erin Mykleby is that her experience is diverse.
